dhascall Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 Been lurking here for a while. We are going to visit the Orlando area, in early June. We booked a condo (through a work perk) from June 2 through June 9 but we could not find ANY reasonable airfares on June 2. So we backed up our arrival to June 1st.As a result, we needed two rooms for only June 1. I never used Priceline before but it sounded tempting to shoot for the $36 All Star resorts at WDW. My wife (also new to Priceline) suggested that we try $40 to seal the deal.Tried $40 and immediately got the, somewhat expected, Amerisuites Lake Buena Vista South. No problem. Not at least until I go to looking at the receipt. The total for two rooms should have been $97. Instead it charged me for one room and (most likely) the taxes were for two rooms. Yikes! My wife and I were not happy campers and Priceline's light is now dimming, at least in our eyes. I called PL and spoke with two reps. Was on the phone for 45+ minutes and finally got the "huh, I've never seen that before." :) They did see where I put two rooms but were clueless why it only gave me / charged me for only one. So, long story short they cancelled my reservation. We MAY try again but we are a little more leary of PL, now. Has anyone had this type of problem w/PL?Thanks
