Priceline Hotel: Priceline areas

I will be spending 8 days in SF w/o a car. Can someone recommend which PL area(s) and or *'s are more convenient to BART? Or is other public transportation readily available ?

What are the date(s) of your stay and your expected budget?

You want to be downtown to easily access MUNI and BART. If you stay outside the city (San Mateo, SF Airport, South San Francisco, etc.), you'll risk being stuck at a place a good distance from convenient mass transit. There are a few hotels in South San Francisco and San Francisco Airport that are somewhat close to mass transit, but it's a gamble and you will enjoy your trip more if you're downtown. I would recommend (in order): USE/USW, Fishermans Wharf, Cathedral Hill, Civic Center.

I(My wife and daughter really) will be in Napa/Sonoma June 4-8, then SF Union Sq June 9-14. have read some of the posts and would like 2-2.5 -3* in both.
