Priceline Hotel: 3* Raleigh-Durham (Chapel Hill) Sheraton Chapel Hill

I'm kinda new to Priceline, so I'm hoping I didn't make a newbie faux pas...this seems a little on the high side for this area. I wonder if it's graduation time...

Anyway, I put in for $70, got rejected, and then used free re-bid zones of RDU airport and Raleigh south to put in $75 and $80. Got accepted at $80.

$145 was listed as the rate for 1 King on the Sheraton website. The Carolina Inn wasn't showing any availability at all for those dates.

Rates are a bit hgher for these dates so it would be expected that it would take a bit more for an accepted bid than when hotel direct rates are lower. As well, you know that $75 wasn't enough. This is aslo just under half price for these dates so i think you got a very good deal.
