I helped a friend out who needed a room for JF. He had previously bid on 4* in $5 increments up to $85 in the CC with rebids.

I used the savingsbarn.com link for priceline to get this room.

Here's my strategy (I was aiming for Sheraton - but not too picky):

Bid 1 - 4* CC $85 - rejected

Bid 2 - 4* CC, westbank $86 - rejected

Bid 3 - 4* CC, westbank, msy $87 - rejected

Bid 4 - 4* CC, westbank, msy, garden $88 - rejected

Bid 5 - 4* CC, westbank, msy, garden, CBD $89 - rejected

Bid 6 - 4* CC, westbank, msy, garden, CBD, FQ $90 - accepted

Based on this strategy, it appears that I might have been able to get this room for a little less if I had started with FQ.
