Hello! I am looking at how to bid on Priceline as I can not find any bidding history for Portsmouth.

a search on Priceline for 3 stars without the 'name your own price' results in these 3 possibilities

3 Sheraton Harborside

3 Holiday Inn Portsmouth

2,5 Anchorage Inn & Suites

any others?

I am aware that the minimal cost without priceline would be 100$ so my bidding should start at what?

failed bidding on priceline:

1st round: 56$ portsmouth-kittery

2nd round: 60$ added dover-durham

3rd round: 70$ added 2,5*

4th round: 75$ added july 4

5th round: 80$ only july 2

any strategy hints please?

What is your maximum bid for this area?

The Holiday Inn can be booked direct for ~$110/nite, so i'd be careful about going too much higher this far ahead of your check-in date.

You could book the Anchorage Inn for $97/nite and use that as a cancellable back-up.

thanks thereuare, I did use easyclicktravel for Anchorage Inns @$97, $104 with tax (2,5*, very good tripadvisor rating)

Priceline was really not cooperative for Portsmouth...I bid as high as 91.

Is there any priceline bidding history for that city thereuare?

Only that somebody bid up to $91 and was rejected :)

It's a small area and not bid often... in fact it's not even an area covered by Hotwire! :)
