Priceline Hotel: $99 Venetian

I get the impression that the $99 deal is now defunct: All good things have to come to an end but do we have a new benchmark price allied to the $149 room price?

Over the last few years I have hit the $99 rate several times, most recently was April '05.

I'm sorted for my July trip (3 nights Barbary Coast and 5 nights Aladdin) but I'm looking at 3rd to 8th September with my wife, so it is way too early to bid at the moment.

When we travel together I like to "surprise" her with a couple of nights at the Venetian! :)

I'll keep my eye on the boards and try and read the trends.
