How far in advance?

Brand new to the forum and itching to try PriceLine. I've had enough of paying full retail in NYC and it's still a guessing game. Perhaps I have just not found a similar post, but I'm wondering how far in advance can (should)

you start making offers? And if I am understanding right, I can bid every 72 hours until I land one, right? No limit to number of tries?

Thanks for helping this amateur out.

Take a look at this thread: Should I Bid Early or Late to Arrival Date

Best advice i can give is to post your date(s), preferred zones, and ideal budget ("i want the best room at the cheapest price" isn't very helpful, but give a realistic idea of just how much you're willing to spend). We'll then provide a strategy for you to follow.(if you have an upcoming stay in the near term, keep in mind i'm heading away for a long weekend, so you may want to post today if you need immediate assistance)

You are correct that there is no limit to the number of bids you can make, but there is one trick that can often be used to gain additional bids within 72 hours of a prior bid: Bidding Again Before 72 Hours
