AEmgee Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 I made this last minute bid for a friend who does not believe in Priceline/Hotwire and prefers to book conventionally. She was staying the first of three nights at the Holiday Inn Express on Jupiter St. in San Diego when she contacted me in desperation as the hotel was simply awful, and at $115 + taxes per night no less. I told her to stay the night and then check out the next day, and I would find her a 4* hotel for the other two nights. Congratulations, you got your price of $91 for a 4-star hotel room. I thought for sure I would be getting the Westin Horton Plaza as that is what seems to be available on Hotwire based on the amenities. Anyhow, hope my friend's stay at the Grand Hyatt will be great and I will finally convert her to travel bidding!
