d13 Posted April 12, 2006 Report Posted April 12, 2006 I was wondering what I should bid for this trip 5/13/5/15. I saw $219/night (interesting that the Sun night was same as Fri/Sat) on the Venetian website. I would appreciate any advice for a starting bid. Thanks!
thereuare Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 What are the actual dates of your stay? (your post conflicts with the topic title)What is your maximum bid?The Venetian averages the nites throughout the length of your stay, so if you want to see the 'true' rate for each nite you need to search each nite individually. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
d13 Posted April 13, 2006 Author Report Posted April 13, 2006 Oops, sorry. Arrive 5/12 and depart 5/15. I want to stay at the Venetian so I am willing to pay up to the $219 unless Priceline charges additional fees over what booking direct with Venetian. Is there anything else that would make booking direct with Venetian vs. Priceline more advantageous (other than ability to cancel when booked w/Venetian). Thanks!
d13 Posted April 13, 2006 Author Report Posted April 13, 2006 I reserved the $219/night for 3 nights yesterday (cancellable). I see now the avg. rate they show for that same time went up to $249. Hotwire shows it at $265 so I'm thinking I'm not going to be able to beat $219 by bidding through Priceline.
d13 Posted May 9, 2006 Author Report Posted May 9, 2006 I bid $149 and was rejected. Added $10 to my bid and a rebid zone up until $179 and was accepted by the Venetian.Check-In Date: Fri, May 12, 2006 Check-In Time: After 03:00 PM Check-Out Date: Mon, May 15, 2006 Check-Out Time: 11:00 AM Your Offer Price: $179.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $537.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $68.89 Total Charges: $605.89
