Last minute trip got the room the day of check in. Jacksonville beach - Ponte Vedra area - Sea Turtle Inn

I think I know why this hotel is running a discount! they are doing a lot of work on this hotel on the outside. We did not notice at checkin but they had hanging maintenance outside the windows. However, this wasn't a real problem, they started at 9am doing some work a couple floors above. It didn't bother us but I used it to our advantage and asked them to comp our late check out. Check out is 11am / ok to noon / but for 1 and 2 it is $10 each hour. So we got a 2pm check out gratis. We were on the beach the whole time so the maintenance didn't bother us. You might ask at check in to be on the opposite side. They said the maintenance would only last until mid may.
