BrooklynBruin Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 Which hotels are on Priceline in this area? Is it still Inns of America? It looks like I'll have 2 rebid zones if I am reading this right. Thanks for any help. Great site. Looking for 1 night 4/13
TravelGuy Posted April 10, 2006 Report Posted April 10, 2006 The 1* Days Inn Moonlight Beach is the only hotel that's come up that's actually within Encinitas proper (reported elsewhere, not on this board). I got a free night and stayed there last year, and for 1 or 2 nights it's not that bad. All the other places that have come up in that zone are in Carlsbad. The Country Inn listed on this board is now a Comfort Inn. Other possibilities not reported on this board include a 2* Fairfield Inn, 2.5* Holiday Inn, and 3* Gran Pacific Palisades. You might consider the Del Mar zone, as it's pretty close to Legoland and the reported hotels there I think offer particularly good quality and value. At 3* there is a good Hilton and Doubletree, and at 2.5* a Courtyard Solana Beach which I think is even better. If you're looking to become more familiar with the area, the San Diego Union-Tribune has an excellent area guide.
BrooklynBruin Posted June 5, 2006 Author Report Posted June 5, 2006 Never could get a Carlsbad/Encinitas hit with Priceline for under a $100. Ended up booking at the La Quinta Inn for $72/night(AAA rate) which included free cont. breakfast, popcorn/snacks/soda/juice available all day, and wireless internet.
