Priceline Hotel: Orlando Resort 8/5-8/9

Bidding for resort around Disney 8/5-8/9. So far up to $125 a day, no luck (done for the day). Don't know if I should add Universal area for a resort and lower the bid.

Any suggestions? Should I wait until a closer date & try Hotwire as well?

I wouldn't chase this one too much at this point.

Whether to add the Universal zone i think depends upon what your plans are when in the area, how important price is, how much you like the hotels in that area, etc, etc.

Most likely you're too early. Keep checking hotel website prices and winning bids to determine approx. % discounts; also watch these boards for winning bids and their dates. I don't recall seeing any for early August yet. I think you should stick to your preferred zone and don't go overboard with your bidding! If you're going to Disney or Universal, make sure you check the discount codes, etc. at www.mousesavers.com and the Universal site, to help you determine whether or not it's worth the hassle of staying offsite (trans. issues and Disney and front-of-line privileges at Universal).
