ypoons
Hi, We would prefer Midtown West or Upper Midtown. Could we reasonably expect a $150 (before taxes)? Not really that familiar with New York, if other areas would have a better chance of scoring a low price 4* we would consider it.Free re-bid zones for 4* are Upper East and Upper West. thereuare
I'm doubtful you'll find success at $150 or less. If you want to try anyway:Select 4* MTW...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* UM/CPS...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTE...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and UM/CPS...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $135, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. ypoons
So I used basically the strategy above, actually went up to $170 and didn't get anything. I figured trying to end a day earlier to match what others had got. So I shortened up the period to 4/14 tp 4/18 and ended up for $130 a night at Hilton New York, after being rejected at $120. Tried the add a date but was rejected. If I recall correctly, I'll get another chance to add a date.Otherwise, I might lowball another bid for MTW and just experience a different hotel for the final night 4/19.btw, went through savingsbarn.com. Thanks for the help! Link to comment
