fukuchi
I am trying to bid a 4* hotel in Mid Town, NYC. I tried 04/12-04/17, and 04/14-04/17(fri-sun), my bid went up to $135 and still no luck. Is it true that I have more chance to win if I make a bid wihtin one week time frame before my trip? and I also heard that if you bid at mid-night, like 2 oclock in the morning, you have more chance to win. Is it true? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding. Not sure where you learned of the above, but i would disagree with both of your statements:1) There is no "best time" to bid and2) While prices may get better closer to your check-in date, they could also get worse. The problem you're facing above is that your bid amounts simply aren't enough for these dates.Exactly which "midtown" zones did you bid (technically there are four of them). What is your maximum bid? Do you have a back-up reservation?Let us know and we'll suggest a strategy to follow.
