chunkalooney Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 New to the rebid strategy, but kinda executed it.Rejected @ $48, $55, $57 waited 24 hours (had to stay DT and didn't know if other rebid zones had 3* properties)Bid $61 got Hyatt Arcade. Web rate for these dates is $209/night ($189/mon, $229/tues&wed), so it is a good deal, but no recent posts for this property. Many 3* seem to have been available for in the $40-$50 range, but there is a noticable difference between weekend and weekday rates in Cleveland, and many of these results fell on weekends (which are cheaper).I guess 70% off rack is a nice result. thereuare Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Welcome to BetterBidding!Congratulations on your win... looks like some HUGE savings! The correct way to determine what star levels are available in each zone, from Priceline Re-Bidding Explained:The way to check what star levels are available in each zone is to open a Priceline page, check ONLY the zone you are inquiring about, and then proceed to the next page (as if you were going to select a zone)... this will give you the available star ratings in that area. You can then hit BACK on your browser, uncheck the current box, check the next box, and repeat the process. It is important to do this before EACH attempt at adding a zone that you really don't want, as new hotels can be added and the star ratings can change at any time.Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks for the post and enjoy your stay.
