scott2414 Posted March 30, 2006 Report Posted March 30, 2006 Had to bid for a few days to get this one. Started at $50 ane did all my rebiddingup to $75 with no luck. Eventually got it for $105. I am going to Tampa for a conference at the Hyatt downtown this is less than a mile away so I am pleased. The conference rate at the Hyatt was $150 so a few bucks were saved. Must be lots going on these dates as direct rates are high downtown and at the airport. I am really more looking forward to a trip to Bern's Steakhouse than anything else!!!!!!!!!!!

ufjoe21 Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 make sure you post a review here after your trip because we don't have any reviews for this hotel yet and I'm curious myself about this WyndhamBern's is very expensive, but that might be the best most unique restaurant experience i've ever had
scott2414 Posted April 1, 2006 Author Report Posted April 1, 2006 My last high bid prior to acceptance was $100.I just found out that this hotel will switch from Wyndham to Westin prior to my stay. Not a big deal but thought I would pass this along.Bern's is reasonable for what they provide. Less $$ to have a great meal there than at Ruth's Chris or some of the other ala carte steakhouses. And IMO Bern's is superior steak to most anyplace else in the country. It is a very unique place and the tour of the facilities after dinner is always really cool.
