sushi101
Hello,This is my first post and I am also a newbie to Priceline and Hotwire. I am looking for a 4* hotel in NYC for a June 22nd check in and a June 28th checkout. I would like to stay in one hotel for the entire trip.I Link to comment
thereuare
You can call any hotel and put in your requests, but some will not be able to grant your bedding request (based upon occupancy levels and the percent of two-bedded rooms they have). If you want to bid i would proceed as follows:At the 4 level you have two re-bid zones available. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 4* MTW...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* UM/CPS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE and MTW...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $145, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE and MTW and UM/CPS...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $165, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170.If the above failes re-try after 24 hours, increasing each bid by $10.Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. sushi101
Hi,I tried the bidding strategy but didn't get an offer. I will try tomorrow... Thank you for your help. (Sorry for the typo in my first post!) Link to comment
sushi101
Hi,I have now bid up to $225 with no luck. Any ideas? I'll try again tomorrow. I was hoping to get a 4 * for around $200 or less. Link to comment
thereuare
I don't think i would be bidding that high this far ahead of your stay.I'd book the 1BR suite at the Beekman Tower for $188/nite. Reviews are good and it's cancellable up until 72 hours before your check-in date. This will give you the comfort of knowing you'll have a roof over your head for this stay and also allow you to continue to try priceline and other avenues for a better deal.Take a break for a week and re-visit this in the middle of next week... as i think bidding $225 at this point is probably too much (imo).
