Priceline Hotel: 3* NYC (MTW) Paramount

I'd love to see some bids and wins on the UWS and the UES. What has been won in the past and at what costs?

These zones are not bid often because they only contain lower star rated hotels, they're more difficult to win since there are not as many hotels in the area, they're generally more expenisve than the midtown locations, there are not as many subway lines as readily available, etc, etc.

If you would like to bid these zones let us know your maximum bid and the dates of your stay and we will suggest a strategy to follow.

I've been bidding ((I'll admit very hesitantly) on 3* and 4* hotels in all the locations. I realize that it is still early but I'd like to know what is my best strategy. I have only bidded as high as 150.00 and in all areas. Would it be better to split my stay up to Fri in one place and Sat. -Sun. in another? I have no problems with this and I am fairly open to all areas except MTW. (Don't care for Times Sq. and do not want The Paramount ) I know the transit system fairly well so I don't mind out-of-way places as long as they are close to a subway.

Is this split stratagy the best way to go and how do I go about bidding?

This is a follow-up post that the mod asked me to reply and hopefully gain information to my new bidding strategy this year.

My last post was made a few days after I had returned from NYC and had stayed at The Paramount. I had won the bid for The Paramount in Jan/Feb. '06 for $135.00. I'm sorry I cannot remember the exact dollar amount I started with or what order I chose my locations. I knew I was going to be in NYC again during June and July '06 and wanted to start the bidding early.
