uaspouse
In the interest of sharing (or misery loves company) posting my bid for others looking for a summer date. This is a Saturday - Tuesday stay. Will book Holiday Inn through EasyClickTravel as a backup. Sky high rates, not sure what it will take to be successful, or how much I want to spend to do so. Patience, patience... Link to comment
Daniel1978
I have tried bidding for Boston Copley, Downtown and, in the meantime, Revere/Logan for the period 6/8-6/10 (one week earlier). For Copley 4*, up to $95, for Downtown 4* up to $89, for Revere/Logan 4* up to $70. Without any success.I truly believe that there still is no inventory on Priceline for those dates. This explains the extremely high rates shown on Hotwire for your dates.I would wait a few more weeks and look into Hotwire every few days to see how prices develop. As soon as rates go down there, I would place my bids again. With a fully cancellable backup hotel, time is on your side. Please inform us of any success, since I am very curious about my stay as well.Regards,Daniel Link to comment
uaspouse
Just wondering, how likely are the Downtown and Copely 3* and 4* hotels to result in a small room that will really only accomodate 2 adults? I know the Priceline guarantee about two adults... but I'm willing to take a bit of a gamble as I may or may not have a third person on the trip and could consider a rollaway if necessary. Any advice/sharing of typical results would be appreciated. Link to comment
micheles
room for 3....?i have had rooms at the sheraton, wyndham, colonade and westin - copley area- and have always had two bedsalso the hyatt regency has had two beds too - all of these hotels have been 'won' through priceline over the yearsalthough i believe some of the smaller 'boutique' hotels near the common may not have such big rooms - i usually check out the hotel website once the 'win' is posted and then if in doubt ring the hotel - i have always got the number of beds i have needed - i often travel with two children so need the extra bed Link to comment
