Jeani Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I hate to ask such a complicated question. Can anyone help me with a bidding strategy?I would like to bid 5* for 3/31-4/2. I really don't want to pay more than $200/night though. Should I lower my expectation to 4*?I'm also staying in Vegas 4/2-4/4 but I got a great $79 rate at the MGM & the Aladdin so I think I'll just split my stay & hope to get a 5* for the weekend days. I can't find anything good (reasonable) for 3/31-4/2 & I don't mind splitting my stay. So if I'm going to be paying a lot for those 2 days anyway...it might as well be a 5*, right?I will most definitely be using the links to support betterBiddingHelp?
thereuare Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 At current rates you're not likely to be successful at a 5* hotel for $200 or under. Is your budget for a 4* also $200, or is it less?Note that if you haven't reserved the MGM Grand yet we are affiliates of them as well. :) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Jeani Posted March 15, 2006 Author Report Posted March 15, 2006 Thanks thereuare...I will go right now to see if I can book the $79 room through your link. APPRECIATE YOUR TIME!!I don't know if I'd be willing to pay $200 for a 4* though. I think I'd be too afraid of which hotel I would get. The Westin is off the strip, right?I can get the Tropicana for average $135/nt....so I think I'd be happier with that.Comments welcome though. Of course.
thereuare Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 Thank you for using our MGM Grand link. Here's a good play for 3/31-4/2...Book Ballys directly from their website for an average of $240/nite.Then go to EasyClickTravel and see Bally's listed for $223/nite.Bally's has a "Best Rate Guarantee" where they will match the lower price plus and extra 25%. If successful (and unless prices change between now and then it should be) your cost for Ballys will come out to:$223/nite x .75 = $168/niteIn my opinion Ballys is easily worth more than $25/nite vs. the Tropicana.Let us know any questions and how the above ultimatley goes.
