Mschnurr
Need two rooms in Charleston for Friday nite. Will be returning a rental car after spending a week in Myrtle Beach. What is the going rate for a 3*.What should I bid for a SUV rental for 7 days?I see that on Hotwire it's cheaper to rent a SUV than to rent a mini van. $26.95 vs $36.95.Any suggestions? Thanks Link to comment

Mschnurr
Thereuare,My maximum is probably $100/night/room tho I'd prefer to spend about $75.BTW I was just accepted at $20/ day for a 7 day Suv rental March 25-April 1/06. (Priceline)Total including taxes and fees was $209.99.I did use the Savingsbarn url to access Priceline.I can probably stay anywhere but we have a flight leaving ex CHS at 6:30 in the am Saturday. Thanks for your helpMike Link to comment
thereuare
At the 3* level you have three re-bid zones avaialble. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.Select 3* Coliseum/Airport...Bid $45, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $50, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60.I would start with the above given the length of time before your stay. If rejected we'll take it from there.Good Luck and let us know how it goes.PS- thank you for using the PRICELINE links at SavingsBarn.com for your car rental, please add a NEW TOPIC to the PRICELINE CAR RENTAL section of the board so other who are looking for car rentals will see it. thereuare
I'd work up to your maximum:Select 3* Coliseum/Airport...Bid $55, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $60, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $65, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $70.If that is rejected increase each bid by another $5 after your 24 hour lock-out period expires.
