I almost bought this hotel on a recent trip to Charlotte as the reviews were very good. We ended up using Priceline and got the Sheraton which was one of the worst hotel stays i've had in quite some time (staff was fine, but the noise was awful, could hear every door close in the building it seemed).

If you'll be in Charlotte for awhile before/after your flight(s) (or maybe you live there?) we randomly tried this restaurant about 4-5 miles south of the airport on Billy Graham called "Tres Pesos Bar and Grill" and it was both inexpensive and good (we had some luch specials which made it even cheaper, but their full menu and dinner menu seemed inexpensive as well).
