mattsy Posted August 16, 2019 Report Posted August 16, 2019 Hi there, I'm just happened to stumble upon this site and am looking for help to book Las Vegas strip for either Bellagio/Aria/Cosmo (Vdara is ok too) for Oct. 3 - Oct. 8 2019. I tried a bid for $100 CAD to see how others are getting the amenities list and was rejected but got this list: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Restaurant, Fitness Center, Guest Score 7/10 or Higher. Any help is appreciated.
mattsy Posted August 16, 2019 Author Report Posted August 16, 2019 Through the Express Deals they're showing 2 options: 5* Casino Hotel $193 USD The Strip - Central West Amenities Free Internet Access Bedding Business Center Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Pets Allowed Restaurant Swimming pool 5* $155 USD The Strip - Southwest Amenities Bedding Business Center Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Restaurant Swimming Pool Any thoughts on which hotels these could be and if through bidding can get even more savings?

Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. 1 hour ago, mattsy said: I tried a bid for $100 CAD to see how others are getting the amenities list Search using our BiddingHelper.com tool and you will see the offers (from both PRICELINE EXPRESS and HOTWIRE) along with prices, amenities, etc. Do you have a maximum budget in mind (per nite before fees/taxes) as your $100CAD doesn't appear to be close to having success for this trip (not sure if this was your 'real' budget or if you were just trying to see how to get the amenities associated with the offer)... you're more likely looking in the $130-$145 USD for one of the hotels that you're looking for above; is this within your budget? 48 minutes ago, mattsy said: if through bidding can get even more savings? If you bid for a hotel room (and NOTE that as you probably have had trouble finding the bidding page of the priceline website we have set up the following for quickest/easiest access: BiddingForHotelRooms.com) how do you intend to target the hotels you mention above (and avoid any that you don't want)? For the two offers above: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $150/nite with: Free Parking Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pets Allowed Restaurant Free Internet available Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino ==> Palazzo ... note that i believe this one is different than the description you posted above, i believe THIS ONE is the $155/nite property you're seeing and i think that one is Venetian 5* The Strip - Central West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $193/nite with: Fitness Center Free Internet in public areas Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Free Internet in room ==> The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Autograph Collection by Marriott Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. mattsy Posted August 16, 2019 Author Report Posted August 16, 2019 You're right! My husband instructed me to try here so I guess he has been here before haha! I've referenced your post on how to bid for our target hotels and will utilise that to keep increasing our bid. $130-140 USD seems reasonable for our budget including the fees and taxes.

mattsy Posted August 16, 2019 Author Report Posted August 16, 2019 I see. I'm not sure. I'm picking Strip Central West and Strip SouthWest for the zones that have these hotels and for every additional bid I've been including zones that do not have any 5* hotels. Do you have any suggestions?
thereuare Posted August 16, 2019 Report Posted August 16, 2019 First, is your budget $140USD including all fees/taxes (and including resort fees) or is $140 based upon the room rate alone? 35 minutes ago, mattsy said: I'm picking Strip Central West and Strip SouthWest for the zones that have these hotels Looks like i highlighted the wrong PRICELINE EXPRESS offer, as i showed a hotel in the Strip Northeast zone while you inquired about a hotel in the Strip-Southwest zone,, for the one you originally inquired about: 5* The Strip - Southwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $155/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> Aria is my best guess for this one 35 minutes ago, mattsy said: I'm picking Strip Central West and Strip SouthWest for the zones that have these hotels Understood, but what about something like the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas which is also 5 star rated and in the Strip Southwest zone... but is not included in your list of acceptable hotels above? Would this (or any other 5 star hotel not in your list above) be an acceptable outcome?
