pnk Posted March 10, 2006 Report Posted March 10, 2006 Hello! It is quite early for this booking given the history of the San Juan hotel inventory. However, I am responsible for the accomodations of our family trip to San Juan, and just took a peek in Hotwire. We plan to stay in San Juan from December 29th thru Jan 2, 2007. Is this the Intercontinental Hotel? It is currently listed for $170. If so, how does this rate fares for this time of year? Amenities are as follows: Customer Favorite, Resort, Beachfront, Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Spa Services, Tennis NearbyThank you as always for your help! :-)

pnk Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 Hello thereuare, Yes, you are right; the missing amenity icon is: business center.Thank you!
thereuare Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Yes this is a match for the Inter-Continental so that would be our best guess. I think it's an excellent rate for this time of year... peak season! To give you an idea for comparison, the Inter-Continental Website shows $400+ per nite for these dates, and the HILTON is showing sold-out!Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. pnk Posted March 11, 2006 Author Report Posted March 11, 2006 Well, even though is early, I've decided to go ahead and make this purchase, only because is during New Year's Eve.Here are the details: Hotel: Intercontinental Hotel Rate: $168 (slightly less than earlier reported since I used Firefox) Taxes & Fees: $163.86 Total: $835.86We'll also get another $10 off since we have an Entertainment Card; a little savings, but nevertheless, $10 less, enough for a nice cold tropical drink! :) As always, I used the Savingsbarn link. Thank you for such a wonderful and informative site.Best Regards and Many Happy Travels!!
thereuare Posted March 11, 2006 Report Posted March 11, 2006 Congratulations!I think this was a good move to lock this in now... San Juan can be extremely tough during peak season and i'm doubtful there will much availabilty as we get closer to the end of the year. Thanks for starting your purchase with the SavingsBarn.com links.
