dejpyon Posted July 22, 2019 Report Posted July 22, 2019 Hello, Looking for help to find out which hotel this could be on priceline: The Strip - Central West Area Price: $251/night Travel Date: 10/4-10/6/2019 Hotel Amenities Pets Allowed Outdoor Pool Fitness Center Accessible Rooms/Facilities Casino Spa Restaurant Pool
dejpyon Posted July 22, 2019 Author Report Posted July 22, 2019 Also looking to book Cosmo for these dates. Any suggestions on bidding on priceline would be helpful too. thank you!
thereuare Posted July 22, 2019 Report Posted July 22, 2019 Welcome to BetterBidding! For this hotel offer: 5* The Strip - Central West (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $251/nite with: Pets Allowed Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> the Bellagio is my best guess for this one Regular rates for your dates at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection start at $415/nite... i think we can find a discount rate of about $315/nite, but it becomes a question of how much more is this hotel worth to you than something like the offer above at $250 or something like the Venetian/Palazzo in the low $200's? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know your thoughts and how you'd like to proceed and we'll take it from there. thereuare Posted July 22, 2019 Report Posted July 22, 2019 I'm not sure if you have a special casino rate (or some other membership-only rate), but from the Aria website for your dates i'm seeing $710 all-in vs. HOTWIRE's $590 all-in (both including taxes, fees, resort fees, etc). What is it exactly that you are looking for in a hotel for this trip and what is your maximum budget (per nite before fees/taxes) for that hotel? Have you been to Vegas before? If you indeed found a lower rate for the Aria (which earlier you indicated you wanted) then both of the above are going to be more expensive. I'm seeing on HOTWIRE when searching 10/4-6 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - T- Mobile Arena for $190.00 Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> Best guess would be the Aria. dejpyon Posted July 25, 2019 Author Report Posted July 25, 2019 What would be the best way to get 2 queen beds for that price ($190)?
thereuare Posted July 25, 2019 Report Posted July 25, 2019 The Aria, like most of the higher end hotels in Las Vegas, charge more for rooms with 2 Queens vs. 1 King, so you can't look at the base price (which is typically going to be for a 'standard' room) and then expect to get a room with 2 Queen beds (which is considered an upgrade) for the same price. 13 hours ago, AaronJB said: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - T- Mobile Arena for $190.00 Resort Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa ==> Best guess would be the Aria. Have you tried searching using the link provided above and locating this same property? If so, you will see that a room with 2 Queens sells for $225/nite. Is 2 Queen beds a requirement for this trip? If so this may be a better option: 5* The Strip - Southwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $185/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> this too is believed to be The Aria, 2 Queen Beds offered at $220/nite, and our Priceline Coupon will take an extra 5% off, bringing this down to $209/nite Does this work for your needs/budget? dejpyon Posted July 25, 2019 Author Report Posted July 25, 2019 Yes that should be good. For the hotwire listing for $190, if I choose "hotel chooses bed" is that most likely going to be 1 king?
thereuare Posted July 25, 2019 Report Posted July 25, 2019 It will be the hotel's choice based upon what they have available / ready at the time you checkin... all things being equal I would lean towards a King being the most likely since that is their 'standard' (and least expensive) room type. If you are assigned a king bed room and there is availability, you may be able to get 2 Queens just by asking nicely, but odds favor you would be asked to pay extra for a room with 2 Queens since that is a more expensive room type than the one you have been booked/assigned. Bottom line is that if 2 Queens is a must have then I would choose that room type... if it's merely a preference then it's up to you if you want to take the gamble or not (after all, it IS Vegas).
