mary228
Free parking, Free internet, Suite, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby AccessibilityIn-room accessibility, Wheelchair accessible, Accessible bathroom, Roll-in shower I'm a bit disappointed as the amenities indicate Suite, so I thought it was Hyatt Place (and the bidding helper tool suggesteed this). The Courtyard has a combination of suites and regular rooms and since the hotel chooses the room, I may not get a suite, which i wanted for a long stay like this. Also, had it been the Hyatt Place, I would have been able to get free breakfast being a member of their Gold Passport program. Link to comment
thereuare
Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Sorry to hear you didn't receive the hotel you were hoping for, although i'm not sure what part of the BiddingHelper.com tool led you believe this would the Hyatt Place. If it was from the GOOD PRICE?? button, note that the purpose of this tool is to show hotels of this star rating in the zone, but even then i do see the property you won among the hotels listed: Quote 3* Hotels in or near the zone for your dates: (the hotel offered may or may not be one listed below) $108...Comfort Suites Sarasota - Siesta Key $108...EVEN Hotel Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch $114...Hyatt Place Sarasota Lakewood Ranch $152...Courtyard Sarasota University Park / Lakewood Ranch Area $164...Homewood Suites by Hilton Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch I also tried the 'What Hotel Is This' button on a search for your dates but no hotels were identified and it then provided the list above. If it was some other part of the BiddingHelper tool please let us know so that we can investigate further (or have a better understanding of how others are using this part of the site). You could try reaching out to HOTWIRE and disputing the 'Suite' amenity listed, but it does appear to me that all rooms at this property have a sink/microwave area separate from the rest of the room. If you do decide to pursue this, you might want to call the hotel first to see if a room type has been assigned, as this may give you a more concrete basis to dispute with hotwire. On the other hand... this hotel does get good reviews (4.5/5.0), a 100% recommendation from previous hotwire guests, and at about half price would look to be a good deal, imo. As always, feel free to ask the board for help/confirmation of what you think you are about to purchase as often a second set of eyes can help avoid any unexpected outcomes. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Hope you're pleasantly surprised with this property, but if you do pursue any remedy with HOTWIRE let us know the outcome (and if you need help with a replacement stay). mary228
I would like to comment on my actual experience at the hotel. The room can be considered a suite in that there is a microwave, sink and mini fridge along with a sofa. However, there are no dishes, no dish soap, no silverware or dish towels, items which you would find at a Residence Inn, for example. I did book my stay using the HOTWIRE link on this site, per usual. Link to comment
thereuare
If you do need any kitchen items i would check with the front desk to see if they have them 'on request' (not sure if they do or not, but worth asking). Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Hope you're having a good trip.
