cairosteve Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 I'm looking for tips regarding an upcoming weekend in San Francisco. I'm looking for a room, preferably in a 4-star, from March 25, a Saturday, checking out on Monday, March 27. I'm not very familiar with San Fran, so I'm looking for tips on what zone to bid in. I've heard good things about the Wharf, and SOuth of Market. Just wondering what y'all think. We'd like to be in an area that's relatively central, has decent nightlife and restaurants, etc. Thanks for any help.
thereuare Posted March 4, 2006 Report Posted March 4, 2006 Please follow-up your Chicago and Panama City threads with whatever you ended up doing for each stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
cairosteve Posted March 8, 2006 Author Report Posted March 8, 2006 I never ended up using Priceline for those trips.
thereuare Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 Users reading those other threads aren't going to know to look here to see that you didn't use Priceline for those trips... please follow-up those threads with whatever you ultimately did (if you didn't use priceline let us know how you did book... it can help others who may be having trouble with the opaque suppliers for their own stays. thereuare Posted March 9, 2006 Report Posted March 9, 2006 I think most 'tourists' bid USE and USW, but not sure what you intend on doing during your stay so not sure if those would be the best scenario for you. I'd start by looking at our PRICELINE MAP for this area and seeing which hotels are near the things you'd like to see and do. Clicking on a hotel and the recent wins will then show you what zone that property is located.Once you figure out which zone(s) are acceptable we can suggest a strategy for you to follow.
