DC is a very expensive city, and these sites help find the jewels quickly. This hotel rankshigh for location and quality accomodations. It ranks lower for nickel-n-dimingon amenities usually provided for free (e.g., pool/fitness center use), parking ($33/day), and street noise (reported by some reviewers). We plan to use either the DC Flyer/Metro or cab ($45-60) to get from Dulles to the hotel, walk or use the Metro while seeing the sites, then take the Metro to Reagan National to rent a car for the rest of our Virginia trip. Even paying $14/day for use of the pool/fitness, we'll still come out much better than nearly anything else available this time of year. Union Station is two blocks away, the U.S. Capitol about 3 blocks, and most of the Mall within 1 1/2 miles. Link to comment
