sportsmom3 Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 I'm going to NY April 5 -7 2019 and thought I would try and bid for a hotel but need some advise on how to start. I'm hoping to pay upto $200 all in if that is possible. Would like a star of at least 3 or more.
sportsmom3 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 I should change the dollar figure to read $150US per night.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 Few questions and comments to get started... Are you only looking to stay in the Times Square zone (as defined by PRICELINE) or are you just looking to be 'centrally' located? (and if the latter do you know which zones, by PRICELINE name, are acceptable for this stay) What is the minimum star rating that you're looking to accept? Let us know the information above and we'll take it from there. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. sportsmom3 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 Looking only for Times Square and 3.5* to 4*

Before suggesting a strategy for the above, can i try to convince you that you don't really need to stay in Times Square (or would it be futile as you're already set in your decision to stay in this area)? Have you ever been to NYC before? To give you an idea of what you might be looking at just outside of Times Square (and keeping in mind, even though some of those below are above your budget, that Times Square is likely above your budget as well): Moxy NYC Times Square for about $225 all-in per nite 5 star Kimpton Hotel Eventi for $245 all-in Would either of the above be of interest or are you sold on first trying for the Times Square zone? sportsmom3 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 Took your advise and looked outside Time Square. I went on the HOTWIRE link and got Warwick for $135 a night. 4.5* Rockefeller Center Restaurant, Fitness, Smoke Free, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower,
thereuare Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you looked beyond the Times Square zone as this is a GREAT deal for this very well reviewed property and is literally just a block or two from the border of the Times Square zone. If you have any questions or need any advice about the city feel free to ask. Thank you for sharing your results and using the HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchase. Enjoy your stay.
