Bid through savingsbarn.... this time for ME!!!

I had originally booked the 27th before booking my girlfriend's flight .... but I found cheap airfares open up to arrive the day before so, I called PL to change the date .... got one of their 'one-time exception' date-change re-submit forms and got the same hotel for the same price.

I started bidding $35 for 3* which was last year's winter price. Tried $39 and was rejected. 72 hours later, I bid $40 and got a counter to add $12. Tried the $43 on my last shot and got it.

I was hoping for the Renaissance which is outstanding .... but this one is a newer hotel built a couple years ago. The furnishings look shabby but it should be fine.

After booking this, I found some exceptional deals ... 4* Sheraton is $69 CAN .... so, I should have waited out the bidding or booked elsewhere. For future Niagara bidders, check out http://www.casinoniagara.com

I told her, "I may get married but I'll never propose" .... I mean, why does she get the rock???

BUT I will, and actually on that very night in Niagara Falls .... I'll try and rent a helicopter and do it above the falls (damn, wish I could bid on that). They also have a hot air balloon that goes up several hundred feet but it only operates in the warm months.

Than, I will utter those words "my fiance" and enjoy it's finality.

Forgive the newbie question, but where did you find the deal on the Sheraton? I've been looking around and cant find anything near that price!
