Disneymomof2 Posted January 30, 2019 Report Posted January 30, 2019 Hi. I’m hoping to find a deluxe or possibly moderate Disney resort for 4/20/19-4/26/19 at a great deal. I’m currently booked for those dates at POP Century for $156/night. I’m willing to go up to $250/night for a deluxe resort. I’m new to this process and don’t know if it’s too early to start looking for these deals. Thank you!
thereuare Posted January 30, 2019 Report Posted January 30, 2019 Welcome to BetterBidding! Would the Swan/Dolphin be acceptable at under $250/nite? ... or Disney's All-Star Movies Resort at $175/nite? ... or Disney's All-Star Music Resort for $160/nite? Let us know your thoughts on the above and we'll take it from there. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Disneymomof2 Posted January 30, 2019 Author Report Posted January 30, 2019 The All-Stars & Swan/Dolphin are not ones I’d consider. I appreciate your help!
thereuare Posted January 30, 2019 Report Posted January 30, 2019 So more specifically which are the names of hotels that you would consider? Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Disneymomof2 Posted January 30, 2019 Author Report Posted January 30, 2019 Beach or Yacht Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, either of the Port Orleans resorts (if under $200/night).
AaronJB Posted January 30, 2019 Report Posted January 30, 2019 I'm seeing Animal Kingdom on HOTWIRE, but unfortunately for $382. 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $382.00 Free Internet Shuttle Smoke Free Pool Restaurant Hi-Speed Internet Golf Childrens Activities ==> Best guess would be the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which has been seen with this amenity set previously. Also seeing on HOTWIRE: 3.5* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $220.00 Free Parking Free Internet Resort Shuttle Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities ==> Best guess would be the Disney Coronado Springs Resort, which has been seen with this amenity set previously. Unfortunately, rates are on the high side for these dates at what Disney properties are showing. Is $200 your desired max budget per night? Disneymomof2 Posted February 10, 2019 Author Report Posted February 10, 2019 I see a 4* on Hotwire right now at $169/nt with the amenities of: Free internet, Resort, Pet friendly, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center. Any chance this is a Disney Resort?
thereuare Posted February 11, 2019 Report Posted February 11, 2019 I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 4 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $169 Free Internet Resort Pet Friendly Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa The other feature of using the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW is that you can click on the GREEN 'What Hotel is This?' button and see that the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort, Bonnet Creek would be the most likely outcome for this one. Also, if you click the IS THIS A GOOD PRICE button (also in the BiddingHelper.com EASY VIEW) you can see that all of the 4 star and higher Disney properties are priced at over $400+ per nite, so the chances of one of these being offered at $169/nite is fairly low with prices being this high. Lucky4LeafClover Posted February 15, 2019 Report Posted February 15, 2019 Aaron JB: For the Animal Kingdom Hotel how do you know if it is a Studio Standard or a Villa Standard? Can that be found out?
thereuare Posted February 15, 2019 Report Posted February 15, 2019 Lucky4LeafClover, Welcome Back to BetterBidding! In the future please YOUR THREADS with whatever you decide to do for your trip (even if you don't end up using PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book a regular rate hotel, etc) as this helps keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone, as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. As for your question above, sometimes HOTWIRE hotels (and PRICELINE EXPRESS too) will show a Bed Choice option which allows you choose the specific room class or configuration. If this is not shown, then the room is booked 'Run of House' meaning that it will be assigned at check-in based upon what is available; generally speaking you should expect a 'standard' room... upgrades can, and do, happen but it's not something that you should count on. Is the Animal Kingdom even showing thru HOTWIRE for your own dates of travel? If you need help with an upcoming trip please start a NEW TOPIC and include the details of your trip (dates, budget, acceptable zones, desired star rating, etc, etc) along with any hotel offers you want us to research. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Using the preferred method indicated above i'm seeing: 3.5* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $136.00 Free Parking Free Internet Resort Shuttle Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities ==> if this is what you're seeing, from the Orlando Hotwire Hotel List this matches previous reports for Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and would be my best guess for this one 4* HOTWIRE Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek for $268.00 Free Internet Shuttle Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Childrens Activities ==> Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my guess here Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Disneymomof2 Posted March 6, 2019 Author Report Posted March 6, 2019 So do you think the 4* hotel on Priceline Express for $262 with these amenities is also Wilderness Lodge? Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Apparently I'm pickier than I thought. I was hoping for Animal Kingdom Lodge as we've not stayed there before. Thanks for your help!
thereuare Posted March 6, 2019 Report Posted March 6, 2019 For this one: 4* Walt Disney World - Bonnet Creek (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $262/nite with: Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Disney's Wilderness Lodge is best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Disneymomof2 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 Any idea what this resort is? Resort under Disney Springs on Priceline for 4* $196/nt with: Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center
thereuare Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 I'm not seeing the offer above on a current PRICELINE EXPRESS search. This one looks similar, but the prices is $228/nite (and not the $196 you listed above) so i can't say if it's the same hotel you're referring to or not: 4* Walt Disney World - Disney Springs (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $228/nite with: Restaurant Airport Shuttle Free Internet available Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center However, it would seem to me that my now extending to Disney Springs you are moving further and further away from what you originally stated you were looking for... Are you only looking to stay on-site? Why not the Wilderness Lodge? Are you going to hold out for the Animal Kingdom (or are you wiling to pay the $371/nite rate at the Animal Kingdom Lodge)? Disneymomof2 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 I’d like a Disney hotel that we’ve not stayed at before. We stayed at the Wilderness Lodge on our last trip and to me it’s not worth an extra $100/night over what we have now. I looked again and it seems the $196/nt one I saw is gone or replaced with the $229/nt. I wasn’t sure what this was since it listed an airport shuttle and had no resort fee. I’m not sure what, if any, Disney resorts are listed as being in Disney Springs.
thereuare Posted March 8, 2019 Report Posted March 8, 2019 So we are only looking for: Beach Club Yacht Club Animal Kingdom Lodge Port Orleans Riverside Port Orleans French Quarter Where, and how much, is your current back-up reservation? Disneymomof2 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 Yes. I’d be happy with any of those. We are now booked at a preferred room at All Star Movies for $143/nt. I’d be happy with that as it’s new to us and my young kids would like the theming, but if I can get something “better” I’d like to.

Yes, i got that, but to confirm.... these are the only hotels you are interested in, correct? Based upon the current zone boundaries, all of the Disney owned properties are located in the Bonnet Creek zone. Disneymomof2 Posted March 8, 2019 Author Report Posted March 8, 2019 Yes those are the only ones. I had always heard that the All Stars were the lowest of the low at Disney but recently talked to someone who had nothing but good things to say about Movies, so I checked it out and thought we’d give it a try.
