bcarbone86 Posted January 24, 2019 Report Posted January 24, 2019 Hello, I am looking for something around the $80-$100/night range (not including resort fees or taxes) for Feb 15 - 18. Looking to be Central, prefer Paris, but anywhere in that central area should work. Let me know what you think, thanks!
thereuare Posted January 24, 2019 Report Posted January 24, 2019 Your budget is not that high for weekend dates (which can often be 2x-3x more than mid-week dates in Las Vegas), but the following is what i'm seeing with a central location and under $100/nite, along with our best guess for each: 3* HOTWIRE South Strip - Welcome to Las Vegas Sign for $83.00 Casino Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Excalibur Hotel and Casino For just a bit more that your target budget i'm also seeing: 4* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Forum Shops for $114.00 Resort Pet Friendly Casino Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> this would likely be the Mirage Resort and Casino which is a big jump in quality over the Excalibur, imo, but not sure how important that is to you for this trip .... of if you're really trying to stay near Paris i'm seeing Bally's for about $130/nite. Would either of these work for your plans and budget? bcarbone86 Posted January 24, 2019 Author Report Posted January 24, 2019 Hi! Thanks for the info and quick reply! This site is awesome, and very informational - thank you! Last week I came across a deal elsewhere for the Rio at $450 total including resort fees. Researching that has led me here. I am comfortable to spend up to $500 for the entire total. Stayed at Paris 10 years ago (only time ever in Vegas), and we loved it. Wife wanted to see if it was possible to stay there again, or in that area (Bally's, Planet Hollywood, Cromwell), and that's what I've been trying to accomplish. We really would like to stay in central strip area, but not dead set on any one place over another. We don't mind to spend a bit more if the quality warrants it.
thereuare Posted January 24, 2019 Report Posted January 24, 2019 Thank you for the compliments about BetterBidding! If the Rio is acceptable i believe it is this offer and would be cheaper than your 'all-in' deal: 4* HOTWIRE West of Strip - VooDoo zip-line for $84.00 Suite Casino Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Golf Spa Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking ==> Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino The Mirage offer above comes in about $50 all-in over your target budget... Bally's would be even more expensive (at $610 all-in) and not as nice, imo (although i did recently stay in a renovated room at Bally's and thought it was quite nice, even nice in fact than the room i had at Paris later in the week) Also, if off-strip is a consideration you could also get 5 star The Trump for $550 all-in, but 1) it's off-strip (although they do offer a shuttle to Caesars and Wynn, otherwise it's about a 10-15 minute walk to The Wynn), 2) no casino if that is important to you. bcarbone86 Posted January 25, 2019 Author Report Posted January 25, 2019 I really appreciate all the info and help you've provided thus far! Do you expect prices to go up or down in this regard, or do they flux both ways without warning? It appears I missed out on the $114/night at what you were guessing to be the Mirage - wondering if it might come back around, or if holding out a bit longer might be able to land us a deal at Paris. Thanks again!
thereuare Posted January 25, 2019 Report Posted January 25, 2019 There is no way to know if rates will come down or continue to move even higher from here; it is all based upon supply/demand... if there are more cancellations and fewer new reservations than expected then rates could head lower, if there are more new reservations and fewer cancellations then rates could likely move higher. However, the regular rate of The Mirage for your dates is $206/nite... so when you see it offered for nearly half the price you should be prepared to grab it (assuming of course you like that property and it works well for your needs). The Mirage is still available from HOTWIRE but it is now priced at $142/nite, and if still interested in this property it would be cheaper thru PRICELINE EXPRESS below: 4.5* The Strip - Northwest (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $135/nite with: Pets Allowed Outdoor Swimming Pool Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> i believe this to be the Mirage as well, and with the BetterBidding 5% off Priceline Coupon this comes down to about $127/nite... not too far off from the $114 that was offered from HOTWIRE (but non longer available) if this is still a property that you're interested in Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how you'd like to proceed (or how it goes if you take the offer above) and we'll take it from there. bcarbone86 Posted January 28, 2019 Author Report Posted January 28, 2019 Again, I really do appreciate all the info provided and assistance in helping me get the best deal possible! Fortunately for us, my Father-In-Law decided to blow through his IC points and get us a stay at the Venetian ($300 total out of pocket cost after his points). Thanks again, I'll be sure to come back for our next hotel stay! Thanks again!
thereuare Posted January 28, 2019 Report Posted January 28, 2019 Thanks for closing this thread with your decision... i'm certain you will enjoy the Venetian.
