ultramax12 Posted January 22, 2019 Report Posted January 22, 2019 I'm trying to book the Palazzo for March 15-19, 2019 I just found this rate using the Hotwire Better Bidding link for $204.00 per night. It says "The last person got the The Palazzo at The Venetian" Do you think it's safe to say I'll get the Palazzo? If I purchase today? Thank You LINK TO HOTEL
thereuare Posted January 22, 2019 Report Posted January 22, 2019 For future posts please include the full details (star rating, city, zone, room rate per nite, dates of your stay, and the amenities associated with the property) rather than a link to the hotel as you'll see that link will expire within the next hour. Assuming this is the offer you're referring to: 5* HOTWIRE Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes for $204.00 Free Parking Resort Suite Pet Friendly Casino Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess for this one would be The Venetian If the Venetian doesn't work for your needs (it is connect to the Palazzo via a walkway referred to as 'Restaurant Row') you could have a look at: 5* The Strip - Northeast (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $229/nite with: Pets Allowed Free Parking Restaurant Free Breakfast Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center ==> best guess for this one is the Palazzo Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links from the board for your purchases. ultramax12 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Report Posted January 22, 2019 I'm familiar with the property, I prefer the Palazzo. Thank you for the reply.
thereuare Posted January 22, 2019 Report Posted January 22, 2019 Then you can go with the 2nd option in my reply above. I too prefer the Palazzo over the Venetian as it's a bit newer... when the prices are the same i take the Palazzo, but when the Venetian is cheaper i have no problem going with that one. I have not yet stayed at Wynn/Encore but am looking forward to trying each of those as well if/when they are offered at a similar price to the Venetian/Palazzo during one of my future trips. ultramax12 Posted January 22, 2019 Author Report Posted January 22, 2019 The listing I saw for $204 comes up under 5-star All-suites Hotel in Center Strip - Grand Canal Shoppes area (The location confuses me) But it says the last booking was the palazzo... Book soon! The last person got the The Palazzo at The Venetian 4.6/5 rating, 95% recommended Overall satisfaction 4.6 Condition of hotel 4.6 Quality of service 4.5 Room comfort 4.7 Room cleanliness 4.7 Casino Fitness center Pet friendly Pool(s) ResortRestaurant(s) Smoke-free rooms Suite free parking I agree with your comments regarding the Venetian vs Palazzo, I would also entertain staying at the Encore in a King Suite if similar rates were available.

A better example of why not to focus on the zone names is in some locations where the zone is named or contains the word 'Downtown'... some of the zone may extend beyond what most locals consider to be 'downtown'. 36 minutes ago, ultramax12 said: But it says the last booking was the palazzo... Book soon! The last person got the The Palazzo at The Venetian This is in relation to the last person who bought any 5 star hotel in the zone... not necessarily relative to the underlying hotel currently being offered. If you're hoping to target the Palazzo i would suggest THIS ONE for $229/nite that i previously linked to above (and as also mentioned previously... confirm your correct dates on the landing page). Our PRICELINE EXPRESS coupon will take an extra 5% off, so you're really only looking at about a $10/nite difference between this one and the one you originally inquired about. The 'true' suites at Wynn/Encore are usually hundreds more than the regular rooms (which also makes them hundreds more than the Venetian/Palazzo )... i've never seen them priced around the same price. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. ultramax12 Posted January 23, 2019 Author Report Posted January 23, 2019 My reference to a Encore Suite was a Encore Resort King Suite, which is comparable to the Venetian / Palazzo rooms in size 745 S.F. I was interested in trying the Encore but the Palazzo is my favorite, we love the sunken living room, two TV's, great to entertain friends and have a cocktail in the room. Also there is a Walgreen's next door to the Palazzo where you can buy liquor, wine & beer for in room consumption. It appears the Encore only has one TV on a swivel mount so it can either be viewed in the living room OR bedroom. Also looking at Wynn / Encore resort map I think the Venetian / Palazzo offer more choices in restaurants / lounges and pool areas. The Wynn does have a nice size sports-book if your into that. So my final answer... 8-) I used the PRICELINE link that you provided and booked the Palazzo for $229/night minus the Priceline Express 5% Priceline Coupon. Thank you for the help!
