jodi1234 Posted December 15, 2018 Report Posted December 15, 2018 Hi Looking at a hotel on Hotwire 3.5 star in Tempe ASU area. 4/5 Trip Adviser ratings. In 5 July 2019 departing 9 July 2019 2 adults and two children USD $52 per night. Lists: shuttle, boutique hotel, business centre, fitness, pool, restaurant, smoke free rooms, bed choice and free internet. What is throwing me as the number of Trip Adviser reviews is not showing on the main page, however when you select the two queen bed option it shows Trip Adviser reviews 101- 300? The Graduate Tempe ASU (4/5 TA rating) has 431 reviews and the Tempe Mission Palms (4.5/5 TA rating) has 2042 reviews. These are the only two 'boutique' hotels I think in the Tempe ASU area on Hotwire. I am guessing it is the Graduate, but just wondering if I am missing something or if the Hotwire system is just playing up?
thereuare Posted December 15, 2018 Report Posted December 15, 2018 Welcome to BetterBidding! 'Boutique' is a very generally term when it comes to hotels and i would not try to limit you results based upon the 'boutique' hotels that you can think of; we have seen boutique hotels not show this designation as well as hotels that are clearly NOT boutiques include this label. I believe there are more amenities then what you have posted above as HOTWIRE has a new interface that does not show the complete set of amenities unless you search using the EASY VIEW TAB of our BiddingHelper.com tool. (always use this method for your searches/purchases to ensure you're seeing the complete amenity set and for an easy comparison of PRICELINE vs. HOTWIRE, as well as to use our new IS THIS A GOOD PRICE feature). If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper.com tool... use the HOTWIRE EASY VIEW tab and then click the GREEN BUTTON next to this listing, do you see more amenities (including any accessible amenities) then what you have listed above? Using this method, below is the full list of amenities i'm seeing for the 3.5 star hotel in this zone when searching for your dates: 3.5* HOTWIRE Tempe - ASU for $52.00 Free Internet Boutique Shuttle Smoke Free Fitness Pool Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Wheelchair Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking ==> MOXY Phoenix Tempe/ASU Area is my best guess for this one Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
jodi1234 Posted December 16, 2018 Author Report Posted December 16, 2018 Thanks for the help and the tips on using the Hotwire Easy View Tab. I am travelling with two small children and the Moxy rooms don't have refrigerators, so I won't book this one. I will make sure I book through the better bidding link when I book. Thanks again.
thereuare Posted December 16, 2018 Report Posted December 16, 2018 Is this the only zone that works for your needs? You can also use our site MAPS and HOTELS.com to look for hotels near the specific location you need to be and look for the usual 'suite' brands (Hyatt Place, Residence Inn, etc) which are more likely to have refrigerators in the room. Also, have you called the Moxy to see if they have refrigerators on-site? Many hotels do have small units that they can bring into the room (sometimes for a small additional charge) for situations where guests have young children and need to keep milk cold, medicine that needs to be kept refrigerated, etc. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know whatever you decide to do for this trip or how we can be of further help. jodi1234 Posted December 18, 2018 Author Report Posted December 18, 2018 Thanks thereuare - I am looking at the Tempe area as it is near a friend we will be visiting (from Australia) I think the Green Tree Inn will better suit us and it is listed on HOTWIRE for a good price and has refrigerators and microwaves in the room. I also have to book hotels in Chicago, Milwaukee and Las Vegas so thanks for this great site - it is certainly a fantastic help.
AaronJB Posted December 18, 2018 Report Posted December 18, 2018 I'm seeing on HOTWIRE when searching for 2 adults/2 children 3* HOTWIRE Tempe for $57.00 Free Parking Complimentary Breakfast Free Internet Shuttle Fitness Pool Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> Best guess would be the Green Tree Inn Phoenix Sky Harbor If you do book the Green Tree, please post/confirm to close the thread. I'm very familiar with Chicago/Milwaukee and would be happy to research hotels and answer any area questions. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
thereuare Posted December 18, 2018 Report Posted December 18, 2018 Here is the board's link to the Greentree Inn and Suites (i assume this is the one you are referring to at 4234 S 48th St, Phoenix... as there is another location in Mesa but that is further from Tempe). Let us know what you ultimately decide. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
