thereuare
Please start by following-up your previous Paris Hotwire hotel thread with whatever you ended up doing for that trip. Please remember to follow-up your threads with your wins/decisions as you make them (even if you don't ultimately use PRICELINE / HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc) as this help keep the board better organized and more useful for everyone... as well as being a courtesy to anyone who took the time to help with your travel plans. For the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer above: 5* Mayfair - Soho (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $187/nite with: Pets Allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> the Le Meridien Piccadilly is my guess for this one (fairly certain it is not the ME London Melia as, among other things, that property does not have a Pool) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
CBC373
ok thanks. i was guessing that also. i tried bidding also at $170 and did not get accepted. Link to comment
thereuare
With the board's Priceline Coupon the difference between your bid amount and the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal above is $7/nite (and by bidding you run the risk of landing a different 5* hotel in the zone, such as the ME London Melia that you were trying to avoid)... is targeting this property not worth an extra $7/nite more than you have already bid? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. PS- if you're not aware, as priceline continues to move/hide the bidding page and making it harder and harder to find, we have set up this page for easy access: BiddingForHotelRooms.com Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
CBC373
yes i realized that and went with the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal and got the Le Meridien Piccadilly which was what I was hoping for. do you think the bidding and the express deals are coming from the same set of inventory? CBC373
yes i also noticed that the bidding page link is becoming smaller and smaller. at one point i thought they have rid of it until i saw the very small bidding page link at the bottom of the page. now at least it is on the side along with the express deals. are they discouraging the use of it ? thereuare
Congratulations on your success and glad to see you received the hotel you were hoping for! We have seen situations where a user received a different hotel when bidding vs. what was currently being offered via PRICELINE EXPRESS. It's OK to try to undercut the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal if you're happy with all of the hotels in the zone of that star rating... but it's risky (and not a good risk/reward proposition) in my opinion if there is a property in the zone that you are hoping to avoid (as was the case above). Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay.
