Priceline Hotel: 4.5* Ft Lauderdale Beach Area

Looking to book a 4.5* hotel in Ft Lauderdale Beach for March 21-23, 2019

Looking to nab the Atlantic Hotel & Spa or The W.

Initial bid of $131 rejected.  Not sure how much I'm willing to pay but given we're 5 months out I've got time to adjust.

At current rates for your dates it looks like the Atlantic Hotel and Spa is about $349/nite and the W Fort Lauderdale about $395/nite... making your bid only about one third of prevailing rates which unfortunately probably does not put you in the right ballpark.

 

I suspect that this is a time when many colleges may have Spring Break therefore making rates for these dates much higher than usual.

 

Is the Spring Break crowd something you're looking for (or trying to avoid) this trip?  Are these dates firm or are you just trying to get away sometime in the Spring?

Thanks for your comments.  Dates are firm and I realize the bid is low.  Trying to factor in the taxes and hotel fees to come up with a total price below $200 (but willing to adjust) per night.  Looking for the higher end hotels in hopes to minimize some of the Spring Break Madness.  Will also look at expanding the search area as Ft Lauderdale Beach is just a starting point.
