I'm sorry about the other topics. All of my activities and classes will be at Columbia Campus. My budget its $200-250 per day with taxs and fees. I'm ready to purchase.

There are very few hotels in this immediate area (and those that are nearby are generally not highly rated nor well reviewed)... would you be willing to take the subway each day to/from Columbia?

==> best guess here would be The New Yorker A Wyndham Hotel.  The property gets mixed reviews but would be convenient since it's across the street from Penn Station where you can catch the 1 train to Columbia

4* Times Square - Theatre District (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $164/nite with:

==> The Manhattan at Times Square is my best guess here, with the 1 train being less than 2 blocks away

 

You didn't mention budget so if you are willing to go a little higher than those above you can get into some really nice hotels which i'd recommend either of the following:

4* HOTWIRE Madison Square Garden for $185.00 (doesn't list any resort fee so really not that much more than either of the above... may actually be cheaper than the Manhattan at Times Square on an all-in basis)

==> Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan which is a fairly new hotel, also right by Penn Station for easy subway access, and currently the #19 best reviewed hotel in NYC
