shenderson Posted June 13, 2018 Report Posted June 13, 2018 Hello, I am new to PRICELINE bidding, and I'm hoping for some strategy advice. We are not too picky about the hotel, but since it's a 4 night stay I figured 3.5 stars and up would be more comfortable. We would like to keep our price under $100/night. Above that makes an apartment the cheaper option. Is there an advantage/disadvantage to bidding this far out from our trip? Is there a timeframe that is most competitive. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

thereuare Posted June 13, 2018 Report Posted June 13, 2018 Please remember to follow-up your threads with your results/decisions as you receive them so that the information can best help others in a timely manner. For New Orleans how about this PRICELINE EXPRESS deal: 4* French Quarter - Canal Street (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $85/nite with: Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> i'm not 100% certain, but i believe this may be the New Orleans Marriott which has previously been seen with this amenity set before, and would only be a few dollars more than the 3.5* offer... 3.5* French Quarter - Canal Street (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $81/nite with: Fitness Center Business Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> Doubletree Hotel New Orelans would be my best guess for this one I'm also seeing from HOTWIRE: 3.5* HOTWIRE French Quarter - Bourbon Street for $73.00 Restaurant Pool Indoor Pool Fitness Smoke Free Free Internet Hi-Speed Internet Business Laundry Golf Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess would be the Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter 4* HOTWIRE French Quarter - Mississippi River for $96.00 Restaurant Pool Fitness Smoke Free Hi-Speed Internet Business Tennis Spa Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> my guess for this one would be the Hilton New Orleans Riverside Do any of the above work for your needs? shenderson Posted June 16, 2018 Author Report Posted June 16, 2018 Thank you so much for such a quick reply. We went with: 3.5* HOTWIRE French Quarter - Bourbon Street for $73.00 Restaurant Pool Indoor Pool Fitness Smoke Free Free Internet Hi-Speed Internet Business Laundry Golf Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower ==> best guess would be the Wyndham New Orleans - French Quarter It was indeed the Wyndham, and works perfectly for what we needed! Odd that I didn't see that in my initial search. Greatly appreciate your help!
