creflo Posted May 30, 2018 Report Posted May 30, 2018 EUR 87 w/o taxes. Amazing deal, 60% off the retail rate. Was surprised I got the price on the first bid. May be worth starting lower next time. EUR 106 with taxes, would have been EUR 115 with taxes on PRICELINE EXPRESS.
thereuare Posted May 30, 2018 Report Posted May 30, 2018 Congratulations on your success! Glad to see you received a great deal for this trip and that you're happy with the results. NOTE that if you're having trouble finding the PRICELINE bidding page we have set up a new page NYOP Priceline Bidding (www.BiddingForHotelRooms.com) Thank you for sharing your win with the board. Please click the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
Simon1977 Posted June 7, 2018 Report Posted June 7, 2018 as a side note I just bid up to $150 for downtown for the previous 5 nights (leaving 6/30) to this poster. And no luck. I have a fully refundable rate at the westin so will try again nearer the time and report back.
thereuare Posted June 7, 2018 Report Posted June 7, 2018 Simon1977, Welcome to BetterBidding! If you'd like help with, or to report a win for, your own trip please start a NEW TOPIC and somebody will assist you there. Also two tools (among many others) that will likely be helpful in your particular situation: 1) RefundableRates.com --> shows you hotel prices that have generous refund terms so it's easy to compare rates that work for your flexible needs (ie- you don't see a great rate only to discover that it's non-refundable and the refundable rate is $20-$30/nite higher 2) RateDrop --> set an alert for 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels in the Downtown Los Angeles zone and if the rate drops below whatever price you choose you'll receive an email letting you know (so you can set it a little lower than the maximum price you're willing to bid)... you can also set an alert for the Westin itself, choosing a price just below the current price, as any time you see the rate for your dates drop might be a good time to try bidding on PRICELINE again Ooops, one more BONUS TOOL (i told you we have a lot )... Since the NYOP bidding page has become harder to find, we have created www.BiddingForHotelRooms.com as an easy way to access the priceline bidding form. Hope this helps, and we look forward to helping you further (or hearing about your win) in a NEW TOPIC. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Good luck! Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
