Thaigringo
Found hot deal that bb identifies as Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Oakland Airport ← OUR BEST GUESS Amenities: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Smoke Free, Free Internet, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Blind Accessible, Deaf Accessible, Travel Accessible, Room Accessible, Bathroom Accessible, Handicapped Parking, Roll-in Shower Rate is $107, total comes out to $269.33 for 2 nights with tax/fees. Checking hotel on hotel website directly, rate for 2 nights with tax/fees is 265.09 How is hotwire a better deal when the fees get added in? Or, am I missing something? Thanks for the advice! thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Not every PRICELINE or HOTWIRE offer is going to be a slam-dunk of a deal (which is why in our BiddingHelper.com tool we provide a 'IS THIS A GOOD PRICE' button so that you can easily see the regular retail rates of hotels of that star rating in the zone... ensuring that the offered hotel deal is a worthwhile offer). The discount on the HOTWIRE offer above is not necessarily a good deal to go 'opaque', but what if you instead take a look at this offer: 3* Oakland International Airport (OAK) (<-- CLICK HERE and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $107/nite with: Pets Allowed Business Center Restaurant Airport Shuttle Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this property would be the Hilton Oakland Airport, and you can get an additional 5% off using the BetterBidding Priceline Coupon... compare this to the regular rate of the Hilton Oakland Airport for $165/nite for your dates. $252 all-in nite vs. $382 all-in Does this one work for your needs this trip? (even cheaper than the HOTWIRE offer above and a full star rating higher) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Thaigringo
Thank you for the advice. If this is the Hilton it would seem pretty decent. It also should include breakfast I think. Just wondering if you would do that opaque deal, or for a little more do something like: this Hampton Inn deal that although the star rating is lower has much higher feedback and has free cancellation and pay later, or; this Holiday Inn deal Holiday Inn deal that also is not opaque and appears nicer Much appreciated for your website and awesome tools and help!
