Hotwire Hotel: Hotel in New York

Hi,

 

We are a couple from Belgium, hoping to find a good hotel in New York in september (check in 17 , check out 19)

We want to be close to all the sites, but taking a metro shouldn't be a problem, as long as we are not on there for too long.

We were hoping on a budget of 120€ per night, all in. So +/- 150$ 

 

Do you think this is realistic, or should we stretch the budget a bit?

Unfortunately, the Fall and early Winter in NYC are often busy and prices are higher.  $150 "all in" is going to be unrealistic unfortunately, but I am seeing this on HOTWIRE not too far higher:

==>  This would be a possible match for the Omni Berkshire. Very nice hotel and location. September is traditionally a more expensive period so as this period goes, that's a very good deal and something I'd really suggest considering. If you use the link in my signature, you can also get $10 off, so this brings the per night "all in" to about $182.

Thank you so much for your answer.

I am trying to find the deal you found, but the best i can see is $206 per night.

I tought the reason could have been that i am trying to access from Europe (the 10$ discount doesn't work for us for example)

 

But i just created a virtual machine in azure, located in the United States, and i can't find the deal either ( I do get the 10$ discount now)

==> this would appear to be the Freehand NYC, although this style of hotel is not for everyone (there is also a $19 resort fee on top of the price above)

Unfortunately after the above any 4* and higher hotels start at about $200/nite before taxes/fees.
