travellingcat7 Posted April 18, 2018 Report Posted April 18, 2018 Hello BetterBidding, I am looking on Hotwire.com at one of their Hot Rate Hotels. Came across the following: 4-star New To Hotwire Hotel in Midtown East area $195 Amenities Complimentary Free Internet Amenities Boutique hotelBusiness centerFitness centerPet friendlySelf-service laundrySmoke-free rooms Accessibility Accessible for visually impaired Overall guest rating of 4.5 I am suspecting it's the Lexington based on the $25 resort fee/day. Can you help identify this hotel? Many thanks!
AaronJB Posted April 18, 2018 Report Posted April 18, 2018 Welcome to Betterbidding. I think there may be more amenities than you have included above. If you repeat your search using our BiddingHelper tool and look in the EASY VIEW TAB then click the green "Full Amenities" button, do you see additional amenities beyond those listed above? I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 4* Midtown East for $196.00 Free Internet Pet Friendly Boutique Smoke Free Fitness Business Laundry Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Roll-in Shower ==> I'll agree with the guess of the Lexington. Let us know what you decide or if we can be of any further assistance. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
travellingcat7 Posted April 18, 2018 Author Report Posted April 18, 2018 Hi Aaron, Thanks for the confirmation. I see where to click for full amenities now. What about the following on HOTWIRE: 4 star LES-East Village Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access
AaronJB Posted April 18, 2018 Report Posted April 18, 2018 I'm seeing on HOTWIRE: 4* Lower East Side - East Village for $227.00 Free Internet Smoke Free Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet ==> Best guess would be the Holiday Inn LES Are you looking for something in particular in terms of hotel (looking to be near a certain area, etc)? Let us know more about what you are looking for and we can then filter research/suggestions more to what you're seeking in terms of hotel. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
travellingcat7 Posted April 19, 2018 Author Report Posted April 19, 2018 Thanks so much! I might give PRICELINE Bidding another chance before making my decision
thereuare Posted April 19, 2018 Report Posted April 19, 2018 What star rating, zones, and bids have you made thus far? If you do like any of the hotels/offers above, keep in mind that they could disappear at any time (while you try your PRICELINE bidding) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
travellingcat7 Posted April 19, 2018 Author Report Posted April 19, 2018 I'm focused on LES-Chinatown/Soho-Tribeca/Union Square-East Village 4 star and above I have bid up to $200/night but ideally would like to keep it under $180 (excluding the fees) My previous experiences have been successful bidding between 1-4 days prior to trip thus I am debating if I should wait closer to date to bid again. I do have Wyndham Garden Chinatown booked (cancellable) as a back up
thereuare Posted April 19, 2018 Report Posted April 19, 2018 You could look for other back-up options using our sister site RefundableRates.com which makes it easy to compare rates on a refundable basis. Another suggestion if you're looking to wait is to set alerts using RateDrop for any 4 star and higher hotels in the zones that you're interested in... set PRICELINE EXPRESS alerts at $210 or less (since with our Priceline Coupon a $210 express deal would equate to a $200 bid price) so that you'll be notified and able to jump right into bidding as soon as the price drops (if the rate does indeed drop, which of course there are no guarantees it will) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Keep us updated on your progress and let us know if/how we can be of further help along the way. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
travellingcat7 Posted April 19, 2018 Author Report Posted April 19, 2018 That's awesome! Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it!
