jkuehn
Thanks so much! We are trying to decide between the two options in the South Beach - Collins Ave Oceanfront area. Maybe a dumb question, but going for one of these seems like a no-brainer since it's closer to the action and the cheaper options? My only fear is getting a hotel that isn't ON the beach. Based on what you've seen, has that ever happened when choosing this zone? (it's okay if you don't know - but thought I'd ask!!!) Link to comment
jkuehn
Sorry, one more question for the experts here! The 4.5 star option doesn't have any "Additional Mandatory Fee" listed on the reservation screen, whereas the 4.0 star option has an "Additional Mandatory Fee" of $85.50 which is due at the hotel at time of check-in. I assume this is the resort fee. Any idea WHY the 4.5 star option doesn't have the resort fee listed??? Link to comment
AaronJB
For the 4.5* Oceanfront Collins I'm seeing a $99 additional manditory fee. jkuehn
Thanks for the help! Got the Royal Palm for $798/3 nights (using the link above and the Priceline Coupon code BBAPR18) Whenever I click on the link, the "additional hotel fee" isn't listed, but once my reservation was confirmed (still no hotel fee listed) I ended up calling the Royal Palm and they confirmed a $99 fee. Kind of a bummer that isn't listed on the Priceline page when booking, but I knew there would be a fee, so not the end of the world. Link to comment
jkuehn
Priceline Express Deal: $798 for three nights. Resort fee wasn't listed on the confirmation page, nor was it listed once hotel was confirmed. Had to call the hotel and they confirmed a $99 resort fee. I kind of knew the fee would be charged, but still a bummer it wasn't disclosed on the booking or confirmation pages!!! Link to comment
thereuare
Congratulations on your success... glad to see it was the hotel you were hoping for and that you're pleased with the results. I too don't see the mandatory resort fee now, but i know i saw it yesterday (as did AaronJB)... at least it's something that is paid by everyone regardless of how the hotel is booked. Thank you for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your purchase and sharing your win, helping us update the Priceline Express Hotel List with the new star rating and amenity set for this hotel.
