Looking for June 13, 2018 for 5 nights. So am going to have a combo of the higher mid week rate and weekend rate. Know its the tail end of high season, plus it is fathers day weekend. Issue is need a bed choice because it is 3 adult females (myself, sister, and grown daughter)

This came up with amenities of Pet friendly, Boutique hotel, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access

Can do bed choice of king and sofa bed. IMO, probably better than two full size beds. Figure most likely that it is Westin Grand Central. Comes up on hotwire at $197 (bidding helper tab doesn't indicated bed choice). That price is for a "hotel chooses bed type". If I go in on a hotwire email special that ends today, it comes up $191, and for $210 if I choose the king/sofabed. Site said last person got Intercontinental, but don't think that's likely here.

Main question is that hotwire shows resort fee of $29 per night, the Westin grand central website lists a $25 per night resort fee. Is it common for it to be listed higher on hotwire? or could it be another hotel? I can't get a good read on the nightly resort fee for Intercontinental, but it seemed when I won that hotel last summer (which I loved) they had a resort fee of $29

Well, I went ahead and booked it, since I was afraid I would lose out on the bed configuration. Got the Westin Grand Central. Happy with that. Though I would have hoped to get cheaper, was afraid that when and if rates dropped,  I would not be able to get the king plus sleeper. So we are set! Rate of $210- Checking in Wed Jun 13, checking out Mon Jun 18.

Congratulations on your success and thank you for sharing your win with the board.

You're also near my often recommended Ess-A-Bagel (Third Ave at 51st St) which has one of the best bagels in the city, makes for a nice, and relatively inexpensive, breakfast among local NYers.
