Not seeing this offer when searching HOTWIRE for your dates... are you still seeing this on your own search?  If so, if you click the offer do you get to the booking page or a message that the offer is no longer available?

Thanks!

My friend wanted something in the midtown east area so she ended up booking a 4 star hotel there for $154/night. This excludes the $33/night resort fee. She got the Shelburne NYC-an Affinia Hotel.

When did the NYC hotels start charging the resort fee?

Very nice win for your friend! This well-located Affinia gets excellent reviews.

Unfortunately, resort fees have become more and more common in the last 3-5 years.

Thank you for telling your friend about betterbidding and using the site's HOTWIRE link to start their purchases and searches.

Hope your friend enjoys their stay and has a nice time in NYC.
