Jtthomp92 Posted March 12, 2018 Report Posted March 12, 2018 Hi! I've never used HOTWIRE before, so I'm a bit confused!. I'm going to vegas from the UK between 30/7-06/08 and would like a 4*+ hotel in the centre of the strip or TI. I'm having a hard time working out the hotels, can you help at all? Thanks in advance :)
AaronJB Posted March 12, 2018 Report Posted March 12, 2018 Welcome to Betterbidding. So that we can have a better idea of what to suggest when researching availability for these dates, what would be your desired budget per night for this stay? Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
Jtthomp92 Posted March 12, 2018 Author Report Posted March 12, 2018 Well, the TI is currently $80 a night if booking directly through them, so if it was likely to be that hotel, then <80. For other hotels up to say 110, however the cheaper the better! Thanks :D
thereuare Posted March 12, 2018 Report Posted March 12, 2018 We will cover both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE in this thread (no need to create a separate topic in each section of the board). One interest: 4* The Strip - Northwest (<-- click this link and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $76/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess would be Treasure Island Hotel and Casino and may be a little cheaper than booking direct when combined with the BetterBidding Priceline Coupon If you're looking for the least expensive 4* or better on the strip i think the above would be it, if you're willing to pay a little more for something nice you could consider (and our priceline promo code would apply to all of these PRICELINE EXPRESS offers as well): 4* The Strip - Central East (<-- CLICK THIS LINK and confirm your dates on the landing page) for $95/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Paris Las Vegas would be my guess for this one 5* The Strip - Southwest (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $110/nite with: Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess here would be The Vdara 5* The Strip - Central West (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $128/nite with: Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> about $12/nite over your budget after our Priceline Coupon, but this matches previous reports for The Cosmopolitan which would put you in a 5 star hotel with a great mid-strip location Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Jtthomp92 Posted March 13, 2018 Author Report Posted March 13, 2018 Excellent, thanks for your hard work! The TI seems a good price and we will probably book that. However, having looked into things a bit more, the southern end of the strip isnt as far away as we thought, any decent offers towards that end? Thanks again

Did you intend to walk this, as theoretically you could walk from one end of the strip (Mandalay Bay) to the other (Wynn Encore) but i would guess it would take about 60-90 minutes depending upon the crowds, but either way it's not something you would likely want to even consider doing in July/August when the temperatures are likely to exceed 100 degrees. Have you been to Las Vegas before? Do you have any plans or 'must see / must do' plans this trip OR do you intend to just hotel hop and see the different hotels and gamble? What is important to you in regards to a hotel for this trip? Jtthomp92 Posted March 14, 2018 Author Report Posted March 14, 2018 Hi, sorry, I meant from 'most of the action' and the center strip. I have been once before but stayed at the CC which felt segregated from the rest of the strip. With the heat in Aug we wouldnt want to be that far from the center again (So the SLS is a no). We will be casino hopping mostly and having a look around the hotels. We want a 4*+ casino hotel on the strip, thats close enough to other hotels to comfortably walk. Thanks
thereuare Posted March 14, 2018 Report Posted March 14, 2018 Your best options, imo: 4* The Strip - Northwest (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $68/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> still believe this is Treasure Island and along with our Priceline Coupon brings this down to under $65/nite 4* The Strip - Central East (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $88/nite with: Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> Paris Las Vegas which given the summer temperatures and your desire to casino-hop would be much more centrally located (and a nicer property) than Treasure Island 5* The Strip - Southwest (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $103/nite with: Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> a nice deal for what i'm guessing to be the Vdara if you don't necessarily need a casino at your hotel (Aria is a 60 second walk across the street) 5* The Strip - Northeast (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $107/nite with: Fitness Center Airport Shuttle Business Center Casino Casino Restaurant No Smoking Rooms/Facilities Indoor or Outdoor Pool ==> an excellent deal for what appears to be The Palazzo but gets you closer to TI and further from the center of the Strip, so have to weigh location vs. a really nice hotel and room (still plenty in this immediate area thought... Wynn, Encore, Venetian, Mirage, TI, Caesars) 5* The Strip - Central West (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $111/nite with: Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor Pool Casino Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Autograph Collection which i think gives you just about everything you want (casino, center strip, and also under your maximum budget when using our Priceline Coupon) Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases.
