Priceline Hotel: 6 failed bids for Austin 3-10, 3-11 up to $85

Hi,

I had 6 failed Bids for a 3* in Austin. I tried all zones except downtown with varying prices up to $85. I couldn't believe how bad I was doing. Then it dawned on me that something must be going on in that city. Sure enough... the South By Southwest Music Conference starts on 3-10 which my day of arrival.

Looks like I might be paying rack rate. I don't need to stay in the city. Any surround area would work so I'm still trying. I may try for a 2 1/2 * after my 72 hours.

Just bad luck I think.
