Lethy718
I was searching on Priceline for dates 6/28-7/1 and saw that the Priceline express deal for a 4.5* in the Downtown Chicago- Millennium Park area is at $110/nt. When looking at the "Name Your Own Price" option, the average price is at $209. Is it worth it to bid 5% less than the Express Deal price or just book the Express Deal? Also, within that area, what hotels are frequently seen thru Priceline? Link to comment
thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! Assuming this is the property you're seeing thru PRICELINE EXPRESS: 4.5* Downtown Chicago - Millennium Park (confirm your dates on the landing page) for $110/nite with: Restaurant Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities ==> best guess for this one would be the Renaissance Chicago Downtown Hotel So whether to take this offer or try bidding on PRICELINE (ignore pricelne's 'average retail price') depends upon how much you would like to try and target this specific property vs. how much you would be happy with any 4.5* hotel in this zone (or other zones that you include in your bidding). Also, note that BetterBidding currently has an exclusive Priceline Coupon for 5% off so if you do decide to go the bidding route you would want to take that into consideration when determining your maximum bid price. Please remember to return to BetterBidding and use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases... or thru our sister site MAPSandHOTELS.com for your regular rate purchases. Let us know how it goes if you take the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer above, or if you decide you want to try bidding let us know your maximum bid and which zones are acceptable and we will suggest a bidding strategy for you to follow. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
