Also, I am more familiar with Hotwire where I can put the number of adults on the request and they match to the beds to the people. We have three adults for this stay. This listing does not have a bed choice, so could I get stuck with just one bed?

PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy, after that it's at the discretion of the hotel, and you could receive a room with only one bed. While you can call the hotel you win and request a room with two beds, the hotel may not be able, or willing, to honor your request.

 

If this is not a risk you're willing to accept, HOTWIRE would be a better option since, as you point out, they allow you to search for up to quad occupancy.

That is very useful information. I am not willing to risk it as we definitely need the extra bed. Currently HOTWIRE doesn't have as a good a deal. So, I will watch some and will use your link. Thank you.

Make sure you are comparing apples-to-apples...

1) the Hyatt Regency is 3.5* rated by HOTWIRE, so don't necessarily compare the 4* PRICELINE EXPRESS hotels to what HOTWIRE is charging for 4 star hotels, as it would not be an equal comparison

2) the Hyatt Regency charges more for a 3rd adult in the room and this would be reflected in HOTWIRE prices (when searching for 3 adults in the room) and not in PRICELINE prices (since they only guarantee double occupancy) which would be another explanation for any price differences

 

When searching for 3 adults i am seeing the following on HOTWIRE:
