Priceline Hotel: 4.5* New York (Madison Square Garden - Convention Area) Tryp Times Square South

Heading to New York for vacation, 1 adult/1 adult-child.Would love two beds, if possible. Looking at 4.5* in Times Square area/Bryant Park/Central Park South. Would be great to pay around $180/nt. Any advice on bidding is welcome and whether that's realistic is welcome. Thx

That's a tough one. Traveling with my 19 y.o. Two beds are ideal, but if I HAD to prioritize, I'd say.

Actually, the reviews are somewhat of a moot point in that I assume a 4/5* property will deliver on service and quality. Hope that helps and thanks!

Is the second quote a typo and you mean 4.5*... or are 4 star properties also acceptable as well?

S/he will always be your baby... but hotels are going to consider your 19yo an adult for occupancy purposes (although searching for 2adults vs. 1adult/1child is not going to really make much of a difference in terms of pricing)

 

As you mention your dates are flexible, If prices and/or inventory was better for 3/9-3/13 would these dates be acceptable as well? 

Are you able to commit to a set of dates at this time OR are your dates 'flexible' because plans are still up in the air and you need to first have other things fall into place (time off from work, availability of your child, etc)?

First, typo on the 4.5*. The two beds is because she's an adult (college student) so sleeping would just be more comfortable for both of us in separate beds. We could do it with a king bed, if necessary. Our plans are sort of flexible, but we can't leave until 3/10 in the evening. March 10-14 is really the best time, so that's now firmed up.
